Sharon Murphy

Sharon Murphy uses sculpture and site-specific installation to investigate line and space. Many of the assembled structures have a purpose of linking architectural features in a chosen site, allowing the work to develop architectonic qualities. Relationships are forged between these structures and their location as the accommodating walls, windows and architectural elements are integrated into the work; they becoming materials in themselves. Thread, nylon lengths, wire, paper, stationary materials and plastic are commonly used. 16.4.1 sees her use of objects found within the gallery environment, how they are can be navigated through fabrication while being integrated into the surrounding environment.

    Hi Sharon

Just wanted to wish you all the best with this upcoming venture. Unfortunately I won’t be able to come and see your work as I have relocated to England. Lots of success to you and all the others.
