Nicky Teegan
Nicky Teegan was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1987. She received her BFA in Visual Arts Practice in Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (2009). Her work has featured in numerous group shows including most recently ‘No Fixed Abode’, Tullamore (July 2009), ‘Scribble Box’, Bombhouse, Dublin (July 2009). IADT Graduate Exhibition, IADT, Dublin (June 2009), Drogheda Arts Fringe Festival, Drogheda, Louth (May 2009), ‘Is this Considered Poetry? , IADT, Dublin (2008), ‘One in Ten’, Broadstone, Dublin (2008), ‘Dara’, Backloft, Dublin (2007). Teegan has been selected for LAUNCH 2009 . She also has several forthcoming shows including ‘16-4-1′ in PLANE / SITE Galleries,’ Bouvard et Pecuchet’ in The Lighthouse Cinema, and also in Filmbase and Bombhouse. Teegan has been involved in the setting up the new studio/gallery space, Ormond Studios alongside several recent graduates from IADT and NCAD. Teegan is also one of the founding members of NODE, an independent education program which is designed to provide a conceptual space for artists/ curators to engage in constructive and critical analysis of their work and practice. She is currently doing an internship in FOUR, Dublin. Nicky Teegan lives and works in Dublin, Ireland.

16.4.1 is a mixed media exhibition by 16 artists engaged in a situation specific collective at PLANE / SITE Galleries – Lad Lane (off Baggot Street), Dublin 2. Curated by Fionnuala Mahon and Sharon Murphy. It opens Friday the 4th of December and continues to the 20th of December 2009.
